How to filter video sharing sites?
SurveilStar provides dynamic ways for controlling website visits. You can filter video sharing websites by URL, keywords or defined class.
Administrator can control the use of computer and network resource on agent computer by setting control policies. Website policy can be assigned to a selected computer/user, a group, or the whole network.
SurveilStar uses a hierarchical mechanism to manage control policies. Priorities are allocated to different levels of policies according to their hierarchies.
User Policy > Computer Policy > Group Policy > Whole Network Policy

To filter video sharing sites, you can click the tab “Basic Policy > Web”, and click the
to add a new website policy. In the Property panel, you can tell SurveilStar when and how to control which type of website visits.

When the user(s) violate a defined website policy, SurveilStar can:
* Block the website visit
* Alert administrator (with Low, Important or Critical level)
* Send warning message to the user
* Lock the target computer

Method 1: Block a website with specific URL
This method will block a specific URL as provided.
In the Property panel, click the Website input icon at the right bottom, and then click
in the Setting box to enter a complete URL.
For instance, you can add www.youtube.com to be blocked.
Method 2: Block websites with keywords
This method will block any URL that contains predefined keywords.
In the Property panel, click the Website input icon at the right bottom, and then click
in the Setting box to enter keywords.
For instance, you can enter *video*, *upload video*, *share video*, *porn video*, *online video*, etc.

Method 3: Block a whole class of websites
This method will block a whole class of websites subject to predefinitions.
In the Property panel, click the Website input icon at the right bottom, and then click
in the Setting box to select a website class.

Note: Before you could use class blocking, you should define and create website classes.
By setting different web policies and alert messages, you keep informed about the whole network's status. You can fully control all the computers in your network.
